Hello, my name is Gloria Newman and I wanted to organize this GoFundMe for my best friend and her family.

Our beloved Susan Theresa transitioned to be with the Lord and daughter Francesca on June 15, 2025. Susan was an amazing Bahamian-born wife, mother, sister, and friend. She touched so many lives of people around her with her infectious warmth, smile, and laughter. Susan is survived by her husband, four children, grandson, and many other loved ones: Douglas, Giselle, DesCartes, Angelique, Astrid, and Jordan.

Susan spent her life as a military wife raising her beautiful five children and traveling the world. It was her deepest passion to take care of her family, church, and outreach with a vibrant, classy spirit. Her love, kindness, humor, and strength had a lasting impact and will be forever missed.

We are all heartbroken over Angelique’s mother’s passing. We desire to give her the funeral that she deserves to be a meaningful goodbye surrounded by the people she loves. The funeral expenses are above our life insurance. We have to find a way to pay for embalming, a headstone, bills left behind, a burial container, funeral home-related services, and other costs.
