Hi, my name is Rico, and I have a daughter who just turned 18 and is getting ready to attend college at MTSU. But because of my situation, I can't afford to pay for her college tuition at this time. The reason for this is because I got diagnosed with colon cancer back in 2001 and have had two major surgeries and a year of chemo, and my financial situation has dropped ever since. I have not recuperated from this unfortunate situation yet.

I want to help my daughter go to college. Yes, we have applied for scholarships, but they have denied me because of my income situation. I haven't given up on finding her some scholarships, but since the school semester is about to start, I'm afraid she won't be able to start if I can't come up with the tuition fees before school starts, and she won't be able to attend school. She is an honor student and has always been a very motivated person, always looking to better herself, and as her father, I would like to help her in her journey.
