In Loving Memory of Socorro Bustillo

Socorro Bustillo Lagos, 76, passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2025 at Christ Hospital surrounded by family at her side.

Socorro “Coco” was born on February 3rd, 1949 in Nicaragua to Eva and Luis Moncada.

She was a nurse in her town in Nicaragua and was known by the doctors and staff for being a huge advocate for her patients.

Socorro was a woman of faith and was very involved in her church, her community, and her family.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Socorro, a truly remarkable woman who brought light, love, and laughter into the lives of everyone she met. Throughout her life, she embodied kindness, wisdom, and a joy for living that was simply infectious. Her beautiful heart was evident in every interaction, and her presence could always be felt in the room, brightening even the darkest days.

Socorro lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment with an open heart and a generous spirit. She taught us all the value of laughter, of family, and of being present in the moment. Her wisdom and grace touched the lives of so many, and we are all better for having known her. Whether through her words or her actions, she always left an imprint of love and positivity on those around her.

We are deeply saddened by her passing on April 6th 2025, but we take comfort in the fact that her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who was lucky enough to know her. In this time of grief, we are reaching out for support to help cover funeral expenses and to honor her memory in the way she truly deserves.
