It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of Sinith "Jackie" Chen who was the heart of our family — a loving mother, sister, aunt, and guiding light to everyone who knew her. After a courageous battle with ovarian cancer, she passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and selflessness.
Her journey with cancer began when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2023 — a silent disease that had already advanced by the time it was discovered. Despite the pain, the treatments, and the uncertainty, she remained strong. She fought with everything she had, not for herself, but for the people she loved most.
She was a fighter in every sense. Having lived through the unimaginable horrors of the Khmer Rouge, she carried that strength with her as she rebuilt her life in America. Through every hardship, she never lost her humor, her generosity, or her deep love for her family.
She raised all of her nieces and nephews like her own children, giving all of them comfort, wisdom, and laughter. She was the one we all turned to for advice, a home-cooked meal, or simply a laugh that made everything feel okay. She was an inspiration, a protective sister, and the emotional backbone of our family.
She leaves behind two sons, Alex and Brandon, who were the center of her world, and her loyal pup, Charlie, who rarely left her side. As we try to make sense of this deep loss, we are asking for help to give her the loving farewell she deserves and to support those she left behind.
Funds will go toward:
• Funeral and memorial service costs
• Burial and transportation fees
• Support for her sons during this difficult time
Even the smallest donation makes a difference. And if you’re unable to give, simply sharing this page would mean the world to us. Thank you for helping us honor a woman who gave her entire heart to her family — and taught us all what real love and resilience look like.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Family of Sinith Chen
May her soul forever rest in paradise.
