On Sunday, our family lost someone truly irreplaceable — our dad, Shad. His passing was sudden, and our hearts are broken as we try to make sense of life without his presence, his humor, and his love.
He was a man full of passion, joy, and grit. He was a die-hard Seahawks and Mariners fan — the kind who yelled at the TV, celebrated the wins, and stood by the teams no matter what. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting, where he always felt at peace and closest to the things he loved most in life.
Above all, he was one of the hardest workers you could ever meet. He showed up every single day with determination, pride, and a relentless work ethic that inspired everyone around him. And when the work was done, he was the first to make you laugh. His humor was unforgettable — but what everyone remembers most is his laugh. Big, contagious, impossible not to join in. When he laughed, the whole room felt lighter.
As we face the shock of losing him, we’re also faced with the unexpected costs of giving him the respectful, loving farewell he deserves. Our goal is to honor him in a way that reflects the heart, strength, and joy he brought into the world.
If you’re able to donate, share, or send prayers, our family is deeply grateful. Every bit of support helps us lay him to rest with the love and dignity he earned every day of his life.
Thank you for helping us honor his memory — a husband, a father, a friend, a fan, a hunter, a hard worker, and a man whose laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
