Sammy was like the sun and moon in one. Her smile and laugh would brighten any room, and her compassion and heart could light the way out of the darkest of nights.

She was the baby of the family, and everyone's favorite aunt or "Tanty".

Even though Sammy battled with severe chronic depression for most of her life, she never hesitated to lift someone else up, to give them a kind word, to help them not feel so alone. She was a fierce warrior through and through.
