It is with great sorrow that we share the news that our beautiful and brave Samantha McCooey passed away 10/20/2025. All of the “business” of death is extensive, expensive, grueling, and painful.

Please know that every single one of your prayers is a lifeline for us. We feel them; they are helping us not to just crash and be crushed by such devastating grief and sorrow. We know she is free from a body that betrayed her every day for 16 years. We know her pain is no more and that she dances again with Jesus. We know every one of her questions is answered and that she’ll never again be plagued by seizures or confusing thoughts. We know that the pain she endured in this life is but a sneeze in the light of the glory she has entered into for eternity. We know that Jesus’ tender mercies were all over her passing on that horrific day, the day we feared for 16 years, 4 months, and 18 days. But we aren’t there yet. Our grief is so great.
