Our beloved Roméo tragically lost his life after a terrible accident. He choked, and due to delays in calling for help, he stopped breathing for nearly 30 minutes. By the grace of God, the paramedics were able to bring his heartbeat back, but Roméo was left in a coma.

What broke our hearts even more was that instead of giving him time and trying every possible effort, we were told “my condolences” by the second day—while he was still breathing. The focus shifted to his organs rather than giving Roméo a real fighting chance.

Roméo was more than a son, a husband, and a father—he was everyone’s friend and brother. His smile, kindness, and presence touched everyone he met. He leaves behind his loving wife and their 3-year-old child. His wife was on her way to America with their little one when tragedy struck, and now their young child keeps asking to talk to his dad—questions no mother should ever have to answer alone.

We are creating this GoFundMe to honor Roméo’s memory, to support funeral costs, and to help his wife and child through this heartbreaking journey. Any contribution, big or small, will mean the world to his family during this time of grief.
