On Sunday, my mom and I got devastating news. Robert Hearn, her son and my brother, has passed away. Robert was a loved son, brother, partner, and most of all, a father. We are still waiting for so many answers. One thing we do know for sure is that we want to be able to have a memorial to honor his life and be with all of the people he loved most.

This has been one of the most painful things my mom has gone through, and yet, she is still being so strong. She wants to ask for help and is not sure how to do it. The expenses that come with an unexpected loss are not small. Being able to honor him with the people that Robert loved the most will require travel as well.

Asking for help is not easy. In fact, I told her I did not want to make a GoFundMe because it feels like begging. If we can ease the financial burden that comes along with someone you love passing, it would allow her more time to focus on Robert and his life.
