On September 14, 2025, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Richard “Rick” Gattuso, passed away on his 76th birthday after a valiant battle with esophageal cancer. Diagnosed only in early August, the disease progressed far more quickly than any of us could have imagined, leaving our family heartbroken and unprepared.

Rick lived a beautiful life full of music, laughter, family traditions, and love. He was the proud owner of Gattuso’s Music & More—downtown Canton’s oldest music store— for many years; where he worked tirelessly to share the gift of music with generations of students and families. At home, his happiest days were spent in the garden, at the piano, or by the pool with his beloved wife, Maggie, his daughters, his grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Rick’s passing leaves behind not only an enormous hole in our hearts but also significant medical expenses, the costs of his memorial, and the sudden loss of income that helped support Maggie. We are creating this fund to help ease that burden so she can focus on healing and honoring the beautiful life she shared with Rick.
