On June 17, 2025 a fire broke out in the home of Revere's beloved Serino family. This fire was devastating, and ripped away many memories, and belongings, but most of all it claimed the life of Richard Serino Sr.

Richie Serino proudly served his country as a Marine, and then went on to join the Revere Police Department for over 30 years as a patrolman, becoming known as the city's motorcycle cop. He was a truly dedicated and decorated public servant that lived a life of patriotism in every aspect. Living in Revere his entire life, he touched the hearts of many people, in kindness and laughter. The Serinos' home brought joy to everyone in the city around the holidays with Richie's extravagant and elaborate lawn decorations, a representation of his dedicated, yet lighthearted self.

Although he is most known for his diligent service to the city of Revere, he is also known as a loving husband, proud father and grandfather, and loyal friend. He loved his family and friends more than anything in the world, and wouldn't pass an opportunity to lend a hand to those who needed it.

Married for 55 years, he leaves behind his beloved wife, Trudy Serino. Richie and Trudy raised their 4 kids, and 7 grandkids in the house that sat vivaciously on Washington Ave. Trudy not only lost her partner that day, but her home as well. She will now have to start over, a feat that will not be easy.

Just as the Serino family has shown love to the city of Revere, they are humbly asking for the people of Revere's support in rebuilding her life.
