It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Richard Haught on the early morning of Saturday, October 18th, 2025. Despite all medical efforts, his heart was unable to withstand the attack, and he passed away.

Rick was a devoted husband to Rhonda, a loving father to many fur-babies, a grandfather, as well as a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Richard was a hard worker for Walmart, dedicating over 20 years of his life to the company, and then moving on as a beer specialist for the last 3 years at Specs. He was an extraordinary individual, deeply loved and cherished by many. He was a passionate fan of Kiss, Star Wars, and The Simpsons, and his obsession with them was boundless.

Rick demonstrated remarkable empathy towards animals, adopting many over the years, and those that he left behind will no doubt miss their dad very much.

Rick was known for his warmth, humor, and generosity. To know Rick was to cherish him, as he truly lit up any room he was in.

Rick will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. His sudden loss has left his family and friends grief-stricken and beyond heartbroken.

As the family navigates this devastating time, they are facing significant financial challenges covering end-of-life expenses.

In August and again in September of this year, 2025, Richard had back-to-back heart attacks where he was informed his heart was heavily damaged. While working with his doctors, he was scheduled to have heart surgery in January 2026. Unfortunately, his heart just wasn’t strong enough to make it until then.

After his heart attack in September, Richard sought out life insurance, but unfortunately, the family has been informed it’s not in effect yet and therefore void, covering nothing in the way of crematory expenses for Rick.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the burden on his family as they focus on paying for end-of-life expenses, honoring Richard’s memory, and saying their final goodbyes.
