Help Us Create a Lasting Tribute: Memory Bench Fundraiser for Reverend Jean Aubin Lubin - Dec 9, 1940 - Mar 7, 2025

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

We are reaching out to you with a heartfelt request to support a project that will create a lasting tribute to the cherished memory of Reverend Jean Aubin Lubin. We are raising funds to install a memory bench at Eben-Ezer Haitian Baptist Church where he was the founding Pastor of this church from 1986 until his sunset date on Mar 7, 2025. The church is located at 2706 N. 9th Street Tampa, FL 33605. This bench will serve as a lasting tribute to Reverend Lubin’s commitment to our church and its congregation, providing a peaceful spot for reflection and prayer. He was beloved by his community and he was a mentor to many of his colleagues. A man of deep faith, Reverend Lubin was particularly known for one of his most memorable sermons, in which he compared life to a divine account given by God. “When we are born, God sets us up with an account. We don’t know how much is in it, but every day we withdraw from it. How many days remain is a mystery, known only by God. So, what will you do with the time you have left? Will you waste it away or use it wisely?” Reverend Lubin lived by these words, making every moment count for the glory of God and the love of others.

Each contribution will help us not only with the purchase and installation of the bench but also with the surrounding landscaping to create a serene environment. We aim to raise $5000 by May 31st, 2025 to cover the costs associated with the bench and its installation. With our deepest gratitude, every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal and makes a meaningful impact toward this memorable project. Any remaining funds after the purchase and installation of the memory bench will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association and the American Heart Association.

Though we mourn his passing, we take solace in knowing that Reverend Lubin is rejoicing in Heaven, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23). His earthly presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on through the countless lives he impacted.
