Help Us Honor the Life of Violet Renee Burns
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Violet Renee Burns, known simply as Renee to all who loved her. A woman with a giant heart, quick wit, and adventurous spirit, Renee spent her life helping others—even when she had little herself. She made people laugh, feel safe, and believe in themselves when they couldn’t see their own light. That was her gift, she always saw the best in others.
Renee’s life was full of remarkable moments. She worked as a cook on the Mississippi River and was part of rescue efforts during Hurricane Katrina. She raised her sons with strength and love, cheering from the sidelines as “team mom,” always pushing them to be their best. Later in life, she used her creative spark to start a custom tumbler business, never letting age or illness dim her ambition.
Even through serious illness, Renee remained full of grace, warmth, and humor. She recently entered hospice care, and after a sudden fall that caused multiple fractures and a brain bleed, her condition declined rapidly. Surrounded by family and love, she passed peacefully.
We are now trying to honor her life with the kind of farewell she truly deserves: a full service with visitation and burial, where friends and family can gather, remember, and celebrate the incredible woman she was.
️ Our Goal:
We are seeking to raise $10,000 to cover the costs of her funeral and burial. Funds will go directly to her family to pay for arrangements.
How You Can Help:
If you knew Renee—or if you simply believe in honoring someone who gave her all to others—we invite you to donate, share, or send love. No amount is too small, and every gesture means the world to us.
Thank you for helping us give Renee the beautiful goodbye she earned a hundred times over.
