Rene Anthony Flores our Cheech, our Ant Man wasn’t just a person you loved… he was a person you felt. He had this warmth that wrapped around everyone he met. He could walk into a room and instantly change the whole energy. He was laughter, comfort, honesty, and love all in one. He made life feel lighter, even on the days it felt too heavy.
He loved the simple things in life cooking a good meal, being around animals, working hard, and helping anyone who needed him. He was the kind of man who would give you his last five dollars without thinking twice, even if he needed it more. That was his heart. He always put others before himself, and he did that until his very last days.
To us, he wasn’t just a father, a husband, a friend, or a family member. He was our backbone, our safe place, the one person who could make everything feel okay just by being there. He told the truth even when it was hard, but he always told it with love. He had a way of making you feel cared for without even trying.
What breaks our hearts the most is how much he wanted to keep living. Even when he was hurting, he stayed quiet about his pain. He didn’t want to worry anyone. He fought every single day, hoping he could go back to work, go back to the things he loved, go back to being the strong man he always was. Losing his independence made him sad, but he still pushed forward because he didn’t want to give up. He wanted more time with us. He wanted to stay.
But his body was tired. He suffered so much, more than he ever let anyone see. And even through all of that, he never stopped being loving. Never stopped caring. Never stopped fighting.
Losing him has shattered our hearts. Nothing could have prepared us for this pain or this sudden emptiness. All we want now is to give him the beautiful goodbye he deserves a farewell worthy of the man who gave so much love to this world.
Any help whether through donations or by sharing this page means everything to us. Thank you for helping us honor him and for standing with our family during the hardest moment of our lives.
