On Friday, October 3rd, 2025, my sister Rebecca Atcherson ended her long battle with breast cancer and went to be with Jesus. She faced the last two and a half years with a quiet calm and grace that everyone who knew her would have expected. Rebecca leaves behind two teenage daughters, Calleigh and Bayleigh. They never left their mother's side and even grew closer to her throughout this long and difficult journey. Many have asked what they can do in order to support Calleigh and Bayleigh, and honor Rebecca's memory. Rebecca loved learning, earning bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees, and devoting herself to the field of pediatric audiology, and she would love nothing more than to know that her daughters have every opportunity to follow in her footsteps. As they are nearing their college years, we can think of no better tribute to Rebecca than to help them achieve that goal.

Two 529 Education Accounts have been opened up in Calleigh's and Bayleigh's names at Edward Jones and are being managed by Cody Dertow. All money received in this fundraiser will be deposited into these accounts to ensure that it is used solely for the benefit of the girls and only for their education.
