We lost our son, Raleigh, last year on Father's Day to an accidental overdose, and he has become our "cause" for spreading awareness and finding ways to combat the opioid crisis.
We are hosting our second event for International Overdose Awareness and have joined with a team from the Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention and the Colorado Overdose Response Strategy team to exhibit Stories in Black and White - stories of others who have been affected by substance abuse issues.
We chose the patio at the Golden Welcome Center to bring the Golden community together for this event. We will have an informational table with buttons, wristbands, and Narcan kits available.
Please help us make this event meaningful in memory of Raleigh and others like him. Please help us find a way to end the opioid nightmare.
