Despite every prayer, every hope, and every medical effort, he has been taken from us far too soon, leaving his family drowning in grief.

On what began as an ordinary Saturday afternoon, July 5th, Pranit kissed his wife goodbye and got into his car to make a simple grocery run—something he'd done countless times before. He was barely half a mile from home, on the familiar road he'd traveled every single day, when his life changed in an instant. A blood vessel in his brain suddenly ruptured, stealing away his consciousness and sending his car crashing into a tree with such devastating force that neighbors came running, thinking they'd heard an explosion.

While Pranit's physical injuries were severe, they paled in comparison to the catastrophic damage to his brain. As his family raced to the hospital, clinging to hope, doctors delivered the crushing news: Pranit was brain dead with virtually no chance of survival. For three agonizing days, his loved ones held vigil, praying for a miracle that would never come. On July 8th, Pranit took his final breath, and in that moment, his family's world collapsed forever.

A Heart That Touched Everyone

Pranit wasn't just a man—he was a force of nature, a beacon of kindness in a world that often feels dark. He possessed that rare gift of making everyone around him feel valued, heard, and loved. To know Pranit was to love him, but more than that, it was to be inspired by his endless compassion.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when fear kept most people indoors, Pranit couldn't bear the thought of elderly neighbors struggling alone. Week after week, he showed up at their doors with groceries, medications, and most importantly, genuine care. He didn't do this for recognition—he did it because that's who he was. The pandemic took a toll on his health, leaving him with hypertension, but even that couldn't slow his generous spirit.

Even as he was bidding farewell to this world, Pranit chose to enrich the lives of people around him. Pranit had pledged to donate every organ in his body. Indeed, there could not be a better way to leave a legacy behind. Pranit truly was a symbol of love and compassion.

Today, Pranit's wife Maitreyee sits in their quiet home, surrounded by memories but feeling utterly alone.
