08Phillip Dayne Francis, Jr., “Peacus” as he was affectionately known, was a husband and father of nine children. Peacus was a native of Lafayette, LA, where he was born and raised. He was a well-known person sometimes referred to as Mr. Lafayette, always making someone smile or laugh.

On Friday, August 22, 2025, in Lafayette, LA, his life was taken unexpectedly. This unfortunate homicide was fueled by a senseless misunderstanding and altercation that took place at a local hotel. He died with no life insurance coverage, and they are left with the expenses of having him buried.

The family is asking for donations to help with the burial for Peacus, so that we may give him a proper burial. The family of Phillip Dayne Francis Jr. is asking anyone to help us fund the funeral services for their loved one.
