For many Old Farm Estates residents, Patti Baum was a beautiful friend and neighbor who served as a community builder, respected donor, supportive friend, and active role model for many years. She was responsible for making countless memories for those in our community with the sole purpose of creating inclusion and belonging.
Throughout the years, it was with Patti's generous patronage and volunteerism that our neighborhood has been able to host events such as the annual Egg Hunt, End of School Bash, Flick & Float nights, many Fourth of July celebrations, garage sales, and Halloween gatherings.
Among her favorite community touchpoints was her love for our Swim Club and dedication to our Swim Team. Her generous donations helped create foundational traditions that OFE now has ingrained as annual events that just "magically happen."
It's said that some of the most beautiful things in life are not just things. They are people and places, memories and pictures; they are feelings and moments, smiles, and laughter. Patti was that beautiful person. She created those neighborhood places and helped solidify great memories, feelings, and amazing moments for many.
In honor of a beautiful life that gave without cause, and to continue to create inclusion and belonging, we are raising funds to build and dedicate a custom concrete bench near our Old Farm Estates community pool entrance. As a central point where friends and neighbors can meet, visit, and make memories, our goal is to carry on Patti's legacy by honoring her neighborly purpose, while encouraging neighbors to continue to make connections and come together.
Please consider joining our fundraising effort. For those interested in contributing, please donate here or reach out to Deb Colonius. We will host a memorial "Patti Party" once the bench is completed to celebrate in her honor.
