Patsy Comella dedicated her life to the animals of Grand Turk.

Originally from Ohio, then creating her life in Chicago, Patsy built strong connections with both her Chicago family and her Grand Turk family, bringing her warmth, truth, humor and compassion to everyone she met. As one of the leaders of the Grand Turk chapter of the TCSPCA, she helped organize the dog and cat spay and neuter clinics, veterinary care for the island’s donkeys, and opened her own home to seven potcake dogs. Her commitment touched everyone who knew her, and her tireless work made a lasting difference for countless animals.

In memory of Patsy, instead of sending flowers, we are asking that donations be made to the Grand Turk Spay and Neuter clinic in Patsy's legacy and honor. All funds will be sent directly to the Grand Turk group Patsy was so passionate about; supporting veterinary care, medications, and the spay and neuter clinics that take place each June and October (can cost up to $2000 per clinic). These donations will help cover the costs of veterinarians, supplies, and procedures, ensuring that Patsy’s beloved animals continue to receive the care they need.

Patsy’s love for animals and her expansive family was at the heart of everything she did. She never hesitated to help, and her kindness and generosity inspired trust and admiration from everyone around her. By supporting this fundraiser, you are not only honoring Patsy’s legacy but also making a real difference for the animals she cared so deeply about. Your gift will help continue her mission and ensure that her spirit of compassion lives on in Grand Turk for all the animals in need.

Patsy will be so deeply missed. She touched the lives or everyone she met. She will forever be in our hearts and moral compasses.
