Honoring the Legacy of Patrolman Cassie Johnson
On December 3, 2020, Patrolman Cassie Johnson of the Charleston, West Virginia Police Department made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Cassie was just 28 years old. She served the city she loved with unwavering kindness, compassion, and dedication—living out her lifelong dream of being a police officer.
Cassie was more than her badge. She was a daughter, a friend, a sister, a role model, and a trailblazer. As a female officer, she stood tall in a demanding profession, showing strength and grace in every shift she worked. Her courage and commitment to public service left a lasting impact on her department and the community she served.
As the five-year anniversary of her passing approaches, Cassie’s family and friends remain devoted to keeping her memory alive. In honor of her life and sacrifice, we are raising funds to place a memorial bench at her gravesite—a permanent tribute to a woman who gave everything for the safety of others.
All donations will go directly to Cassie’s mother and sister, Sheryl Johnson and Chelsea Johnson, to assist with the purchase and placement of the memorial bench. Your support will help ensure that Cassie’s legacy continues to inspire future generations and that her sacrifice is never forgotten.
Thank you for helping us honor Patrolman Cassie Johnson—a true hero whose light continues to shine.
