In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother. She leaves behind six children, sixteen grandchildren, and three siblings. Her legacy of love, resilience, and compassion will live on in all of us.
Mom and Dad endured the unimaginable during the Khmer Rouge war in 1979. Fleeing persecution, they found refuge in a camp in Khao-I-Dang ( Thailand) before being sponsored to the United States in 1983, eventually settling in Vermont. After three years, they relocated to California to reunite with family. Tragically, our father passed away in 2000. Despite this profound loss, our mother remained strong and unwavering, raising six children on her own.
Her love language was food—through every meal she prepared, she poured out her heart and soul. Whether cooking for her children or for others, she gave with love. Her caring spirit, courageous smile, and unshakable strength will be etched in our hearts forever.
In honoring her final wish to be laid to rest beside our father at OakHill Mausoleum, we are humbly asking for donations to help us carry out her burial. Any contribution, no matter the size, would mean the world to us and help give our mother the peaceful farewell she deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Hin Family
