Hi, my name is Jesica, and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. My beautiful mom, Luz, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. A few weeks ago, my brother and mom came here to Washington hoping the doctors could help her, but we received the heartbreaking news that there is nothing more they can do.

Mom is our everything. She has always been our guiding light, our support, and our heart. We’ve shared so many memories, laughs, and lessons together. Now, we just want to be fully present for her and make her remaining time as comfortable and loving as possible.

Mom has always dreamed of being laid to rest in the Philippines, where our family and roots are. I want to honor her wish, but the costs of hospice care, medical bills, travel, and burial arrangements there are overwhelming. Raising $35,000 will help cover these expenses and allow us to focus on what truly matters: being there for our mom without the constant financial burden.
