Honor Our Fallen Heroes: Proud to be an American Day

We are going to honor our fallen heroes at a program called Proud to be an American Day. We operate completely on donations! No school or government funds are used! This year, in a big way, we will honor U.S. ARMY Captain Brian Faunce and U.S. Air Force Major (Dr.) Kellieann Leli. This is in addition to other fallen Americans who we remember each year such as 9/11 casualty Wayne Russo, U.S.MC. MARSOC Captain Stanford Shaw III, U.S.M.C Sgt Nilton Cacoilo, U.S.M.C Captain Jesse Melton III, U.S. NAVY Seal Matthew Kantor, U.S. ARMY RANGER SGT Ronald Kubik, and many others!

I am a U.S. ARMY veteran and am currently a high school history teacher at Somerset County Vo- Tech. The students and I hold this large Memorial Day type ceremony each year to show the students why they should be proud of our country and why they should honor our fallen service members. It is extremely important that students learn about patriotism from our event because they often are not learning it at home or in school. - PLEASE HELP US!!
