Honor our brother Danny Brooks

To the Kappa Sigma brothers of Kappa Phi - we have shared many memories over many decades with each other. Our college days formed friendships that last forever - perhaps not recognized in the daily events that take over our young adult lives - starting a family, working in business, youth sporting events, birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, and the daily grind of life that we sometimes fall into - but nevertheless if a brother needs help we are always ready to do what needs to be done to support each other.

Danny Brooks has been dealing with cancer for a long time. His battle is close to the end, and there but for the grace of God any one of us could have been dealt this terrible disease for which some survive and others do not. Whether you knew Danny well, met him at an alumni event, or only heard of him from older brothers at GMU - he is our brother, and we need to help him and his family as his road has been long and the financial hardship is real. Many of us have visited Danny over the past few months. To some of us it's been a reminder of how we've missed seeing each other for many years. To others who have kept in touch with Danny throughout his ordeal - your visits have meant to world to him.

Danny and his family need our support. Please honor him and help his surviving family by giving towards his funeral, medical expenses, and support of his family moving forward. It is not as important how much you give, but that everyone participate in support of our brother. No donation is too small - anything will be greatly appreciated. I do hope that those of us who are perhaps more fortunate in business and in health may give generously in honor of our friend and brother who joined us in our youth - when we really didn't know what the future might hold - in recognition that Danny would surely be helping us at this time if our situations were reversed.
