Moriah Elizabeth Cotterel lost her battle against Osteosarcoma on March 22, 2025.

She was an SGO President for her high school and believed in leadership and service. She received an award for Leadership and Services from her school and a Citation from our assemblyman for Leadership and Services. At the time of her passing, she was on a Pre-med track at PENN State College. Her dream was to become a Medical Doctor. We will continue her legacy through an Annual Leadership and Service Scholarship Fund at Medgar Evers College Prep, and donation to cancer research at her college.
