We are heartbroken and reaching out for help during one of the most difficult times our family has ever faced.
In March 2026, our beloved mom Evelyn Musto passed away from AML/acute myeloid leukemia. Her battle with blood cancer was incredibly tough, and she fought with strength and grace until the end.
Just before and during her time in hospice, our dad was also hospitalized and underwent a quintuple bypass open heart surgery.
The stress and emotional toll on our family has been overwhelming.
The funeral and related expenses were much higher than expected, leaving us struggling to keep up.
Now, we are trying to order the memorial plaque (gravestone) for Mom’s (and eventually, dad’s) final resting place. Because Dad is still with us, we want the plaque to honor both of them together — a lasting tribute that reflects their love and life together. The cost of the plaque is $9500. We were going to put off getting the gravestone, however dad mentioned a desire to see it in his lifetime…
Unfortunately, we’ve also been dealing with another painful setback. A trusted individual took advantage of our circumstances , and was given $3,000+ to install a disability-accessible shower for Dad while he was recovering from heart surgery and Mom was in hospice. That money was taken and the work was never completed. We were beyond shocked and completely devastated. This has put us even further behind at a time when we were already vulnerable.
We are a close family doing our best to support Dad through his recovery while grieving Mom. Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• The memorial plaque/gravestone for Mom (and for Dad in the future)
• Remaining funeral and burial expenses
• Helping with Dad’s ongoing medical and home recovery needs
(and costs for the disability shower)
No amount is too small — even $5, $10, or $20 truly helps. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any love, prayers, or support you can offer and for those who have been there through everything!
Your kindness is helping us honor Mom and care for Dad during this incredibly heavy ordeal.
With deep gratitude,
Michael F. Musto, Loving husband to Evelyn,
and the entire MUSTO FAMILY
