The 10th Annual Albany Police Department 5k Run/Walk for Domestic Violence Awareness is being held Saturday, October 5, 2024.

We are hosting this fundraiser for the Albany Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit, in my mother's memory.

On October 9, 2003, my mother, Millie, was murdered by her husband. After investigations, we had found out that my mother had been being abused and was in a domestic violent marriage, which lead to her death.

The proceeds from this fundraiser will go to victims for resources and and help.
