Honor Mike's Legacy, Prepare Students for Future

The Michael Vacanti McKinley Scholarship will be used to award funds to graduating seniors at McKinley High School in Buffalo, N.Y. Mike was so proud of McKinley's vocational programs, and, having taught seniors, he knew many students struggled with college costs. Therefore, two monetary scholarships will be awarded annually to:
- One college-bound senior for them to pay for books.
- One graduating senior going into a skilled trade (plumbing, electrician, carpentry, etc.) so they can buy appropriate tools.
Mike also wholeheartedly supported the special needs community at McKinley. Any additional funds will go to McKinley's community-based program, which helps students with developmental and/or physical disabilities assimilate and integrate into society.
