Honor Mickey: Support 13 Years of Rescue

This year marks 13 years I am volunteering with Heavenly Angels Animal Rescue (HAAR). It’s been an incomparable journey, filled with countless moments of joy and triumph, and at times, challenges and heartbreak. HAAR is a small rescue that has done some truly amazing things: we have adopted out approximately 5,000 animals, we have participated in national rescue relief efforts, and we have continued to educate the public on animal rights and welfare.

While I have met some amazing people, the most special thing to me about HAAR has always been the dogs I’ve met and loved, especially those who I took home. I lost my Mickey Marshmallow two weeks ago. He was taken in by HAAR after his parent died and none of the other family members would take him in. His loss is heart-breaking but his presence in my life – which only happened because of HAAR – was priceless.

HAAR exists and continues only on adoption fees and donations, and is always in the red. I have chosen HAAR as my charity to benefit from my birthday. Please donate to help me celebrate, to honor my Mickey, and to support HAAR.
