Honor Michael Weekly's Memory: Funeral Fund

Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to read our story. We are trying to raise the funds needed to give our Uncle, Michael Weekly, the funeral/memorial service that he deserves and to provide family and friends the opportunity to honor his memory and to say any last goodbyes. We are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Michael's funeral and burial services.

Michael was a well-known musician in and around southwestern Louisiana in the 70s and 80s, playing in several local bands. In 1988, Michael dedicated his life to God and has been walking in faith ever since.

Today, he is battling stage 4 cancer and is not expected to live much longer. We would greatly appreciate any donations and/or prayers for Michael. 

Hello everyone, we wanted to inform you all that Michael passed away on Easter morning. Being that Michael passed away so quickly we didn’t get a chance to run the GoFundMe long enough to build the funds needed to cover all of the costs. Having said that, things will be moving very quickly from this point forward. Today, April 21st, there will be a brief closed casket visitation from 12-1230pm at David’s Funeral Home in Abbeville, followed but a brief burial service at St. Paul’s Cemetary We will continue the GoFundMe for a reasonable amount of time longer in hopes of helping the family build the remainder of the funds needed. Expenses will include a headstone and any additional fees involved in the process from start to finish. We thank everyone for all of the prayers and donations received so far.
