On November 30, 2025, surrounded by her husband of 63 years and her four children, Martha Cusimano took her final breath.
Her last words were simple. Urgent. Filled with love:
“Gotta go to God… and promise me you will complete the Lima Center.”
This fundraiser is how we keep that promise.
What Martha Started Must Be Finished
Martha spent nearly two decades battling cancer—and never stopped serving others.
She helped build the St. Rose of Lima Food Pantry from a small effort into a lifeline serving over 70,000 hungry neighbors every year.
She raised more than $4.1 million to build the new Lima Center, a modern food pantry and gathering space that will nourish families for generations.
The only thing she didn’t get to see?
The day we break ground.
We are just $300,000 away.
This Is More Than a Building. It’s Martha’s Legacy.
The Lima Center will feature:
- A commercial kitchen
- Expanded food storage and refrigeration
- Safe, clean, dignified distribution space
- Rooms for community programs and support
It will allow us to feed more families, provide more services, and care for our neighbors the way Martha always did—with compassion, dignity, and love.
