It breaks our hearts to share that our beloved aunt, Maria Elena Carrillo, passed away after a tough and brave battle with ovarian cancer. She wasn’t just our aunt—she was like a second mother to our family, and losing her feels like losing a piece of ourselves.

She was an amazing woman—an incredible mother, a devoted wife, a loving aunt, and a true friend. Her faith in God was unshakable, and even in the hardest moments, she never let go of that faith. We know she’s now in a better place, no longer suffering, and finally at peace.

She fought ovarian cancer with everything she had. It was a long and difficult road, but she never gave up. Cancer is a cruel and painful disease, and it takes so much strength—not just from the person fighting it, but from their family too. We’re so proud to say that she had that love and support every step of the way.

We’re starting this GoFundMe to help her family with funeral costs and to honor her memory. Anything you can give—big or small—means the world to us. And if you can’t donate, please share her story to help raise awareness about ovarian cancer. It’s something no one should face alone.

Con mucho dolor en el corazón compartimos que nuestra querida tía, Maria Elena Carrillo, ha fallecido después de una valiente y dura lucha contra el cáncer de ovario. No fue solo una tía para nosotros—fue como una segunda madre para nuestra familia, y su partida nos deja un vacío inmenso.

Ella fue una mujer maravillosa—una madre increíble, una esposa dedicada, una tía amorosa y una amiga de verdad. Su fe en Dios era fuerte, y ni en los momentos más difíciles dejó de confiar en Él. Sabemos que ahora está en un lugar mejor, sin dolor y en paz.

Luchó contra el cáncer con toda su fuerza. Fue un camino muy difícil, pero nunca se rindió. El cáncer es una enfermedad cruel que no solo afecta a quien lo padece, sino también a toda la familia. Pero gracias a Dios, ella estuvo siempre rodeada del amor y apoyo de los suyos.
