Mama Gayle left her earthly body and is now resting pain-free in the arms of Jesus. She was greeted by my pops, her daughter, Laura, and her son who died at birth, Bub. She wished to be cremated and her ashes spread with Pop’s ashes in Temple, TX.
Mama ⬛ was the most amazing person that anyone could meet and to know her was to automatically love her and be loved by her. She was the life of the party, and without even realizing it, I think her true gift in life was bringing light and joy to those around her. Her grandkids adored her, and they were her pride and joy. Friends became her adopted children and grandchildren who she loved and adored. Her playful, loving nature brought repeat Halloween trick-or-treaters because she spoke to every child with love.
As we all grieve the loss of our Mama/Nana, we cherish the memories. One thing she was known for was her love for her furry kids. There was never a day she wasn’t talking to her fur-kids while sneaking them treats. They responded to her voice like obedient fur-kids should. Another memory Mama/Nana was known for is she never met a stranger. Game night she was the life of the party and her shoot from the hip demeanor brought us all laughter and often tears of joy.
As we try to navigate the unexpected loss of Mama/Nana the kids and I ask that in lieu of flowers, you consider helping with the sudden unexpected expenses of the cremation and memorial service. Any funds not needed for the cremation and memorial service will be donated to the local animal shelter or yo a local homeless nonprofit because she was so proud of her granddaughter’s backpacks for homeless.
