In Loving Memory of Luz Marina Ocampo de Irurita

My name is Clara Irurita, and it is with a heavy heart that I create this GoFundMe page in honor of my beloved mother, Luz Marina Ocampo de Irurita. After a courageous battle with gastric cancer, my mom was called home by God on November 19, 2024.

Throughout her life, my mom touched countless hearts with her warmth, kindness, and contagious energy. Her beautiful smile could brighten any room, and her positive outlook on life was nothing short of inspiring. She was a beacon of love and joy, and I feel incredibly blessed to have learned so much from such an amazing woman.

One of my mom’s many talents was baking. Her delicious cakes and cookies, made with so much love, were a staple for special occasions and will forever remain a cherished memory for those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of happiness, cherished memories, and unconditional love, especially for my father, Eduardo, her devoted husband of over 46 years.

As a family, we are working to honor her final wishes. She requested to be laid to rest in her hometown of Cali, Colombia. This GoFundMe is to help cover her funeral expenses and support my father in making the journey to fulfill her request.

Additionally, we invite you to celebrate my mom’s incredible life at her memorial service on January 18 at 2:00 PM at the Church of El Santísimo in Pembroke Pines.
