Honor Leda Paz Murillo: Help Her Family

Our beloved Leda Paz Murillo, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, mother-in-law, and faithful servant of God, tragically passed away at the age of 65 while vacationing in Honduras. She was scheduled to return home to Virginia the very same day she lost her life.

Leda lived a life rooted in faith. She shared God’s love with everyone she met, never missing an opportunity to speak life and hope into others. Her final post on social media reflected the peace she carried in her heart:

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.

Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

More than a mother-in-law, Leda took me in and loved me like a daughter. From the beginning, she embraced me with a heart full of grace, faith, and warmth.

She leaves behind four adult children—two sons and two daughters of the Ferrufino Paz family—grandchildren who adored her, her loving mother, many siblings, and those of us who were blessed to be loved by her as family.

We are humbly asking for your support to help bring Leda home to Virginia, so her family and loved ones can give her the farewell she deserves. All funds will go toward transporting her body, funeral expenses, and easing the financial burden on the family during this heartbreaking time.

Nuestra amada Leda Paz Murillo, madre, abuela, hija, hermana, suegra, y fiel sierva de Dios, falleció trágicamente a los 65 años mientras estaba de vacaciones en Honduras. Estaba programada para regresar a casa, en Virginia, el mismo día en que perdió la vida.

Leda vivió una vida fundamentada en la fe. Compartía el amor de Dios con todos los que conocía y nunca perdía la oportunidad de dar esperanza y palabras de vida. Su última publicación en redes sociales reflejaba la paz que llevaba en el corazón:

“No se preocupen por nada; en cambio, oren por todo.

Díganle a Dios lo que necesitan y denle gracias por todo lo que él ha hecho.”

Más que una suegra, Leda fue como una madre para mí. Me recibió con amor desde el principio, con un corazón lleno de gracia y fe.

Ella deja cuatro hijos adultos—dos hijas y dos hijos de la familia Ferrufino Paz—nietos que la adoraban, su amorosa madre, muchos hermanos, y también a quienes tuvimos la bendición de ser parte de su familia por amor.

Con humildad, pedimos su apoyo para poder traer a Leda de regreso a Virginia, donde su familia y seres queridos puedan darle la despedida que merece. Los fondos recaudados se utilizarán para los gastos de traslado, funeral y para aliviar la carga financiera de la familia en este momento tan doloroso.
