Help Us Honor Leanne Parris (Sanford) and Fulfill Her Final Wish

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, Leanne Parris (née Sanford). Leanne passed away peacefully in her sleep the evening of October 19th. Leanne was a woman of deep love, unwavering strength, and generosity. Her greatest joy in life was her family especially her cherished grandchildren, Ezra, Muna, and Crosby.

Earlier this year, our family experienced the heartbreaking loss of Leanne's middle son, Jesse, and we just don't think her heart could withstand the depth grief involved with losing a child. In the midst of this sorrow, we are committed to honoring her memory with a memorial service surrounded by friends and family who loved her , and by taking her ashes to the place she held closest to her heart, Alaska.

Alaska was a place of peace, beauty, and connection to family for Leanne. Her father is buried there, and it was her dream to have her ashes spread in the same place as him. Jesse always dreamed of visiting Alaska, and we will be taking some of his ashes with us so that mother and son can rest together.

We are reaching out to our community for support in raising funds to help cover the costs of Leanne’s memorial service and the journey to Alaska. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to giving her the farewell she deserves.
