Help Honor Larry Starner's Life and Legacy

We are heartbroken to share the sudden loss of Larry Starner, a devoted husband to Marilyn, loving father to Tara and Mandi, grandfather to Alice and Henry, father-in-law to Brian and Chris, and cherished friend to all. Larry passed away peacefully while on a trip to Iceland with his beloved wife Marilyn, after several days in the ICU surrounded by love, music, his wife and two daughters.

As his daughter Tara shared:

“My daddy passed away peacefully this morning – listening to music and surrounded by the people he loved. I have never felt heartbreak like this. He was the best daddy in the whole wide world. I know you can’t hold on to your parents forever, but I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. This was too sudden. I just can’t imagine a life that doesn’t include daddy, and am heartbroken that we have to go on without him by our side.”

Larry’s passing was completely unexpected, and because he became ill while traveling internationally, the family is now facing out-of-pocket costs associated with his ICU care, emergency services abroad, and long-term international travel expenses.

We are hoping to raise funds to help cover these unforeseen expenses and help lift the financial burden from the Starner family. Any funds raised beyond those costs will be donated to Larry’s Buddhist temple, a community that brought him deep peace and purpose.
