Hi there my name is Kate Babington this is my brother in law Kyle A month & half ago we found out Kyle was in liver failure & needed a transplant so doctors sent him home to see if there was any improvement. To see if he could qualify for liver transplant. He went back home to our family property only to be thrown out by his late mother’s husband. Kyle applied for housing with section 8 and many other programs. In the end he wasn’t able to find a place to call home and too live facing the unbearable pain of everything going back & forth too the hospital being homeless etc literally fighting for his life & on top of that because he didn’t have housing he wouldn’t qualify for the transplant . You may wonder why he didn’t just stay with us & the the answer is we live in Gaylord mi & we did have Kyle here with us for a bit but his life was in the UP. On August 28 I called to do a welfare check on Kyle because we didn’t hear from him & it wasn’t like him to not respond they located Kyle in his tent in the woods transferred him too school craft memorial where we found out there was no blood flow too his intestines so he needed emergency surgery they called the helicopter he was then transported too Munson medical center where we were notified kyle was sedated in icu & they had to take out good chunk of his intestines his body was shutting down & we had too make one of the hardest decisions but too just make Kyle comfortable this was the end of his long battle kyle left behind a 15 year old daughter Zoey his world .now she’s left without her closest friend & We just want to be able to lay him to rest the way he deserved to be. Kyle fought for his life did everything he could the system failed him if you feel led too give we would greatly appreciate it as we are now trying to cover funeral expenses etc thank you for your time
