Our hearts are heavy as we share the unexpected passing of Kyle James, a third-year Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy and graduate of Whippany Park High School Class of 2023.

Kyle was a beloved son, friend, and friendly face in the Hanover Township community. His loss has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family, friends, classmates, and all who watched him grow into the remarkable young man he became.

At Whippany Park, he ran track and cross country and was a member of the marching band, always lifting up those around him. He showed up every day with a smile and gave his best in everything he did. His dedication and determination led to his acceptance into the U.S. Naval Academy. Kyle shared a deep bond with his mother, Dee, who was his biggest supporter and constant source of pride. His energy, kindness, and genuine heart left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
