In Loving Memory of Kim Landry – Memorial Bench at Indian Brook Reservoir in Essex, VT
Our dear friend, Kim Landry, passed away recently after a courageous three and a half-year battle with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that slowly robs individuals of their ability to move, speak, and eventually breathe—while their mind remains fully intact. It is a cruel and relentless illness, and Kim met it with grace, strength, and a fighting spirit that inspired everyone around her.
To honor Kim’s memory and the joy she brought to our lives, we are raising funds to place a memorial bench at Indian Brook Reservoir in Essex, Vermont—one of Kim’s favorite places to kayak, reflect, and connect with nature, a place that brought her peace and freedom.
We hope this bench will offer others a moment of rest and reflection surrounded by the beauty Kim so deeply loved. A place to sit quietly, watch the water, and remember our friend who gave us all so much love and laughter.
If we are fortunate to raise more than what is needed for the memorial bench, all additional funds will be donated in Kim’s name to a local animal rescue organization—another cause that was incredibly close to her heart.
We will miss Kim every day. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and compassion continues to touch us all. Thank you for helping us honor her in a way that reflects the beauty of her spirit and the life she lived so fully.
