On the morning of September 10, we lost our extraordinary friend Kerry Snow after a relentless fight with Stage 4 breast cancer. She was 47.

There are communities all over the world grieving Kerry today, and each of us has our own Kerry story.

Some begin in Hull, England, where she grew up in a family whose doors were always open to foster children. Some begin in Grand Cayman, where she worked as a scuba instructor and met the love of her life, Christopher. Others begin in Texas, through the career she built, the gym she rarely missed, or somewhere on a bicycle, where Kerry never met a race she didn't want to win.

The thread through all of them is the same: Kerry showed up.

She showed up with endless ideas about how we could go farther and do better, then stayed beside you to help make them happen. She spent countless hours mentoring people, asking us to learn more, push harder, and think about how we were showing up for others.

When Kerry was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer, she approached it the same way she approached everything else: head-on. She studied treatments relentlessly, partnered with her doctors, cared for both her body and mind, and pursued every avenue she believed could give her more time.

While undergoing treatment, she completed a 400-mile bike race.

Because that was Kerry.

But for all her determination and accomplishments, her favorite title was Auntie Kerry. She crossed oceans to see her nieces and nephews, once surprising her nieces at school dressed as a dinosaur, and even played Roblox from thousands of miles away despite having no interest in video games. The game didn't matter. Being with them did.

And then there was Christopher.

He doted on Kerry throughout their life together and especially throughout her illness. She adored him right back in her very Kerry, “steady on” kind of way.

No fuss. Just love.

Now it is our turn to show up.

Kerry's fight has left significant medical expenses behind. We are raising funds to help cover those expenses and care for the person who spent these last years caring so deeply for her.

We can show our love for Kerry by loving who she loved.

We all only get one life. Kerry lived hers like she knew it.

The pain we feel today is all the love we still had left to give her. So we welcome the grief, because the love remains.
