Honor Kefren’s Journey Home

Hello loved ones, family, friends, supporters,

It is with great sorrow and heartache that we inform all of you, the sudden and tragic loss with the passing of our dear and beloved Kefren Arjona.

Kefren was a loving husband to his “twin soul” Maria Arjona, a fantastic father to Chris, Kefren Jr, Kassy, and Jessy, and a proud grandfather to his little “Juanita”.

Due to some health concerns for Kefren, him and Maria returned home from Oklahoma to Miami in the hopes to find medical aid. Unfortunately, the medical health concern was too advanced before being able to follow the health plan in place. His final days were filled with joy being back home with his family, surrounded by so much love that he permeated with happiness, and always ready for a new adventure.

As you all may imagine this is a very unexpected passing, one in which we are not mentally, emotionally, or financially prepared for. Our minds and hearts cannot wholly grasp the loss of such a remarkable man. One thing is for certain, Kefren left an impression on the lives he’s touched.

It is near impossible to mention all ventures that the eclectic, hard-working, entrepreneur, astounding, self-driven man that is Kefren Arjona. As of the last year Oklahoma City graciously welcomed Kefren and Maria with open arms through the Unwind Cafe on 23rd. Their time there was like no other. We can truly say he was so thankful and blissful for the relationships and bonds quickly created in OKC. Over 10 years ago Kefren and Maria opened Commercial Kitchen 305 - the first commissary incubator kitchen of its kind - making a major staple point still existing in Miami’s culinary world today. Kefren opened one of the best street Mexican restaurants in Miami where frequent one-hour lines would wait for a big burrito. So many other ventures in so many places and the abundance of people Kefren grew to know.

We want to extend our gratitude to all of our family and friends for your condolences, prayers, calls, messages, and all of your love. We are truly fortunate to have such strong support. Many of you are offering to help in any way possible. In these moments we ask that you help us send him home the way that he deserves by donating whatever you can. We want to guarantee that Kefren reaches his final resting place in this life. All donations will go to Kefren’s wife, Maria, to cover all unforeseeable expenses.
