To celebrate and honor our friend and colleague, Kathy Skogen, we have created the Kathy Skogen Memorial Women in Lighting Fund.

Kathy's passion for lighting included a passion for promoting and lifting others in the industry. She believed in the mission of the American Lighting Association's Women In Lighting Committee, which promotes industry engagement and leadership development among women from all areas and experience levels of the lighting business. To further these objectives, the Women in Lighting Committee’s 2025 philanthropy fundraising aligns with the ALA’s Education Foundation to assist women in obtaining lighting accreditations, certifications, and professional development. Through your contributions, WIL will sponsor new Lighting Associates, Lighting Specialists, Certified Lighting Consultants, and attendees of the ALA Conference.
