On October 24, 2025, Kate Scavone was tragically killed after being struck by a car in a parking lot. She leaves behind partner, Bryan, her family, and all of us who loved her.
Kate was always called "special." She had learning disabilities and was told she would never walk or talk. Before the age of three, she had been in ambulances more times than we could count because of her seizures.
But Kate proved everyone wrong. She learned to walk, talk, and eventually lived independently. She built a beautiful life with Bryan, found her passion in cosplay, and showed us all what determination and a pure heart could accomplish.
How You Can Help:
In Kate's memory, we are establishing a nonprofit organization in her name to support special needs children - kids just like Kate, who are told what they can't do but deserve every chance to prove the world wrong.
100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward launching this nonprofit and providing resources, opportunities, and support for special needs kids and their families.
Kate spent her whole life overcoming obstacles and showing us what "special" really means. Now we want to honor her by helping other children do the same.
Thank you for helping us keep Kate's spirit alive and turning this heartbreak into hope for kids who need it most.
