On May 26, 2025, our world was shattered when Kaleb's life was taken from us in a sudden and violent act. At just 24 years old, Kaleb was full of life, love, and dreams still unfolding. His passing was not only heartbreaking—it was unjust and far too soon. As we try to make sense of this tragedy, we choose to remember Kaleb not for how he died, but for how he lived—with a kind heart, a strong spirit, and a deep love for the people and places that made him feel alive.
Kaleb was a devoted big brother, a loving son, a loyal friend, and a protector to those he cared about. He was hardworking and dependable, with a laugh that filled a room and a warmth that made everyone feel like family. He was always just a phone call away, especially for his sisters, and his presence brought comfort, strength, and joy.
Kaleb was so much more than this tragedy. He had a soul built for wide-open spaces and quiet moments. He dreamed of exploring the world—not through tourist landmarks, but through forest trails, mountain peaks, and starlit skies. He loved escaping the noise of the city to find peace in nature. He felt most himself in those still, beautiful places. Kaleb often talked about exploring the world. He talked about his goals of traveling and going to places like the Grand Canyon. Places that would bring him the most happiness!
This GoFundMe was created by family members of the Swed family to fulfill Kaleb’s dream of travel and exploration. The Swed family plans to carry him to the places he longed to see—finding peace in the parts of the world where Kaleb would have felt free. This journey is our way of honoring Kaleb’s life, keeping his spirit alive, and creating beauty and meaning from a loss that should never have happened.
Your donation will help give Kaleb the adventure he never had the chance to take. It’s a final gift to him, and a path toward healing for all who loved him. Thank you for helping us keep Kaleb’s light shining.
