Hi friends and fam.

I found out that my birth mom, Julie, has passed away today.

We didn’t have a typical mother-daughter relationship, but she was still a part of my story, and I want to honor her in a meaningful and dignified way.

My plan is to have her cremated and, when my health improves, scatter her ashes in the ocean — and give her a goodbye she deserves.

Unfortunately, I’ve been dealing with long COVID for the past two years, and it’s taken a toll not just on my body but also on my finances. I’m not in a place right now to cover all the costs myself.
