Jose has been a friend to the Inner Richmond neighborhood for nearly 20 years. He has worked at Hamburger Haven for the majority of that time, bringing his warmth and personality to all he met.

It is devastating news to share that he suffered from what doctors believe is pneumonia leading to cardiac arrest. On 2/4/25 doctors at SF General Trauma Center performed life-saving CPR for 45 minutes. His brother Julio flew in from Yucatan to be by his side.

Jose is a man of integrity and service. He put his younger brother Julio through school and continued to take care of his mother and father. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to give him the same integrity and service he gave us. Funds will go directly to pay for any future costs as his family chooses.
