Family, Friends and Loved Ones,

It is with so much sadness and heartbreak that we come to you on behalf of the Utley family for support in the laying to rest of the best Big Brother, friend and family member, John Utley. Many of you have known John, been apart of his life or had him touch yours in some way. He was the most loyal, the friendliest, and kindest person you could ever meet. If you knew John, you were loved by John and chances are - you loved him just as much! Each of you have laughed with him, shared so many good times and now those moments together will forever be cherished memories. As our hearts are breaking for his family and those he loved they are also faced with preparing for his home going. While John had a long standing and wonderful career with Walmart since 2008 he had recently decided that it was time for a change in his life. He took a big leap of faith and after 16 years parted ways with Walmart in search of a new career and fortunately he found it! He was hired quickly (with no surprise!) at Sam's Club and he couldn't wait to take on this new journey in his life. Sadly, on the evening of January 7th John began experiencing severe chest pains and was rushed to the doctor by his younger Brother where it was determined that he needed to be immediately transported to Centennial Hospital for emergency open heart surgery. John had back to back open heart surgeries within 48 hours and despite all efforts his organs began to shut down and John sadly transitioned on January 11th, 2025 to be with our Lord and his loving Mother, Fathers and family. While this sweet Brother, Friend, and Family Member is resting peacefully now, his family is trying to prepare for this unexpected moment in time. With John in between his career paths and the suddenness of this situation I am asking for financial help in any form to assist with this process. The total amount needed for his funeral arrangements is $12,000. His sister has stated that many people have already reached out with questions about how to help or contribute and this is currently the most pressing and urgent matter.
